includes more than 500 drugs. Rite Aid made the announcement Nov. 13.

The card — which is free and does not require a membership
fee — offers savings on more than 10,000 prescription drugs at Rite Aid
drugstores. It also offers a 10-percent discount on more than 3,200 Rite
Aid-brand products, including 1,500 over-the-counter medications.

Examples of the benefits include:

• More than 500 generic medications at $8.99 for a 30-day
supply or at $15.99 for a 90-day supply

• A 20-percent discount on flu shots and other immunizations
by Rite Aid pharmacists, depending on state regulations

• Generic oral contraceptives at $19.99 for a 30-day supply

The card, which was introduced at the end of September, can
be used for prescriptions for any member of the family, including pets, but
can’t be used with prescription insurance. Those receiving benefits from
publicly funded health care programs are ineligible.
