The grandson of the man who invented the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup has been elected to the board of directors of the Hershey Trust Co.

The grandson of the man who invented the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup has been elected to the board of directors of the Hershey Trust Co.

Robert Reese, a 24-year executive of Hershey Foods Corp., is the grandson of H.B. Reese.

The Peanut Butter Cup remains one of The Hershey Co.’s leading products, according to Hershey.

Reese retired in 2002 as senior vice president of public affairs at Hershey Foods Corp., now called The Hershey Co. He also was general counsel and secretary of Hershey Foods.

Reese last served as chief legal officer of the Molson Coors Brewing Co., according to Hershey.
