In brief: Quite a pickle

Employees at Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA’s Dillsburg office are placing pickles in yards to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

If a cardboard pickle is staked in a yard in Dillsburg, someone paid at least $20 to MDA to pickle a friend, family member or neighbor, said Rachele Kellagher, public relations and advertising coordinator for the Camp Hill-based real-estate group. All proceeds will benefit MDA.

Pickles are for sale through Sept. 7. They will remain in yards until Jack Gaughen staff members return to remove them a week later, Kellagher said. To buy a pickle, call Jack Gaughen’s Dillsburg office at 432-0029.
