The Green Building Association of Central Pennsylvania
recently honored a York County company with two awards for its architectural
design and engineering work on two York
renovation projects.
Springettsbury Township-based NuTec Design Associates Inc.
won the Energy and Atmosphere Award for its work in the conversion of the old
York County Courthouse into the York
County Administrative
Center, said Scott
Butcher, NuTec’s director of business development.
The company also won the association’s Overall Excellence
Award for the renovation of the former Eisenlohr Cigar Factory into York’s Greenway Tech
Centre. Both renovations were completed last year, Butcher said. And both are
awaiting Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification from the
U.S. Green Building Council.
The buildings were honored by several organizations. Both
won the Charles G. Eyster Award for Excellence in Energy Efficiency from the
York County Community Foundation, according to NuTec.
