Harrisburg-based Brinjac Engineering finished its
engineering work on the new green Gettysburg
Museum and Visitor Center.

Brinjac designed the 139,000-square-foot facility’s
electrical, plumbing, fire-protection, telecom, security and lighting systems.

The Silver Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design
building opened April 14 in the Gettysburg
National Military
Park.

The building is part of a $125 million project that will
help preserve the park’s artifacts and archives. The center houses more than
300,000 Civil War artifacts and 700,000 archival pieces, according to Brinjac’s
office.

The museum offers 11 state-of-the-art exhibits, interactive
information stations and an art gallery that includes a restored Cyclorama
painting.
