In brief: HHS: EHRs reach ‘tipping point’

A news release said the achievement marked a tipping point as the nation exceeded the HHS goal of 50 percent of doctor offices and 80 percent of eligible hospitals having EHRs by the end of the year.
Nearly 19,000 providers in Pennsylvania have received approximately $700 million in Medicare or Medicaid EHR incentive payments since the programs began in 2011.
