In brief: Clark joins Stampede as co-owner

Harrisburg business owner Fredrick A. Clark has signed on as co-owner of the Harrisburg Stampede professional indoor football team, according to the Stampede.

Harrisburg business owner Fredrick A. Clark has signed on as co-owner of the Harrisburg Stampede professional indoor football team, according to the Stampede.

Clark, a former athletic director for the Harrisburg School District, is president and chief executive officer of Clark Resources, a consulting firm on North Front Street in Harrisburg.

Clark owns 40 percent of the team. He will co-own the team with John Morris, who owned the team during the team’s inaugural season and is president of the league in which the Stampede play, the American Indoor Football Association.

Clark said he will help manage and market the team. Next season, the Stampede will take a more aggressive marketing approach that will include more giveaways, entertainment and attractions.

The team also will work with the state to add amenities and improve the quality of the team’s arena, Clark said. The Stampede play in the large arena at Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center.
