The Bon-Ton Stores Inc. recently announced it would move its
store within the Heritage Village Mall in Beaver Dam, Wis.

The York
County company signed a
lease for the 71,500-square-foot building formerly occupied by Wal-Mart at the
mall. The Bon-Ton will take possession of the space in February and will open
in fall 2009 under the Boston Store nameplate after renovation work is
completed.

The new store will replace the existing 35,000-square-foot
store at the mall that operates under the Herberger’s nameplate. The new store
also will allow for an expanded assortment or apparel, cosmetics, fashion
accessories and home items.

Springettsbury Township-based Bon-Ton operates 281 stores,
including 12 furniture galleries, in 23 states. The company’s shares trade on
the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol BONT.
