Appalachian Brewing Co. recently closed on a $1.76 million U.S. Small Business Administration 504 loan through the Harrisburg Regional Chamber and Capital Region Economic Development Corp.
The loan was approved to support the Harrisburg-based brewery’s craft soda expansion in Cumberland County. ABC purchased a vacant car dealership on the Carlisle Pike in Silver Spring Township and opened its seventh brewpub location there in June.
The former Sutliff facility also serves as a manufacturing hub for the company’s soda production.
The SBA loan was part of the $4.3 million project, which included the purchase of more than $1 million in equipment. It leveraged $2.5 million from equity and bank financing provided by Centric Bank.
