For an afternoon, you and your family can imagine yourselves living–or at least lodging–like rock stars when Hotel Rock Lititz holds an open house. The new hotel, which caters specifically to rock stars and their touring companies, will hold a special holiday open house on Sunday, December 9 from 2 to 5 p.m.
Visitors can take tours of the Hotel’s guestrooms and luxurious penthouse suites that feature reconfigured architectural and artistic elements from popular concerts connected to Rock Lititz. The family-friendly event also offers selfies with Santa and his elves, Mo, Rock and Roll, plus complimentary hot chocolate at the Hotel’s restaurant, Per Diem.
The hotel, which opened November 18, 2018, serves both entertainment industry professionals traveling to Rock Lititz as well as local and out-of-town guests outside of the live event industry. The décor reflects the technology and creativity of the Rock Lititz community’s businesses, such as custom wallpaper representing 40 years of shows with over 1,000 backstage passes, and road cases used to transport equipment on tours now repurposed as sliding doors in the rooms.
Located at 50 Rock Lititz Boulevard–a mile and a half north of downtown Lititz–the new hotel features 139 guestrooms, including 81 deluxe king rooms, 40 deluxe double queen rooms, 16 king suites and two luxury penthouse suites with private elevator access. Prices start at $169 per night for deluxe rooms; suites start at $209 per night. The penthouses, which have private entrances and stunning views of surrounding farmland, start at $800 per night.
The hotel’s “casual eclectic” restaurant and bar, Per Diem, seats 110 and features fresh ingredients sourced from Lancaster County farms and producers, including Lititz favorite Rooster Street Butcher.
Hotel Rock Lititz joins a 96-acre campus designed to serve the live event industry; other structures within the campus include the Rock Lititz Studio, the largest and strongest rehearsal facility of its kind, and Pod 2, a collaborative hub for entertainment vendors and public services.
