The midstate’s leading residential real estate company has hired a longtime industry veteran to oversee realty operations.

Manor Township-based Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Homesale Realty today announced the hiring of Regina Coia as president of realty operations, effective Sept. 1. She is replacing Rick Doyle, who was promoted to managing director for the company.

Coia, who most recently served as president of Coldwell Banker Preferred in the Philadelphia area, will be in charge of all aspects of sales management, office operations and collaboration with the company’s mortgage, title, insurance and property management services. Coia spent nearly 30 years at Coldwell Banker Preferred.

“I’m confident her leadership will allow our family of companies to continue growing and excelling in the marketplace,” said Pete Slaugh, one of Homesale Realty’s managing directors.

Homesale Realty has 27 offices serving Pennsylvania and Maryland. Not only is it the largest homeseller in Central Pennsylvania, Homesale also was No. 25 in the country last year with 14,646 transactions and No. 55 for sales volume with about $2.9 billion, according to Colorado-based Real Trends.

“Her vast experience as a real estate executive will prove invaluable in continuing our company’s growth,” said Doug Rebert, managing director.
