HIA June traffic up

Passenger traffic at Harrisburg International Airport increased 11.6 percent in June when compared to the same period last year, according to the Susquehanna Area Regional Airport Authority.

Passenger traffic at Harrisburg International Airport increased 11.6 percent in June when compared to the same period last year, according to the Susquehanna Area Regional Airport Authority. The authority owns and operates the Dauphin County airport.

This is the seventh month in a row that passenger traffic has increased. Nearly 118,000 passengers used the airport in June.

The number of available seats declined 3 percent in June when compared to the year-ago period. Eighty-four percent of all departing seats were filled in June.
