The Park Mania voting concluded yesterday with fans asked to vote for their favorite among the two finalists: Hersheypark and Cedar’s Point (in Ohio).

Last year, the Park Mania champion was King Island in Ohio; Silverwood Park in Idaho won the top spot in 2017.

This past weekend, Hersheypark opened for Springtime in the Park, which will continue on weekends only through Easter, April 21. The amusement park will then open for its summer 2019 season on Friday, May 3 for weekends only 9Fridays through Sundays) until Thursday, May 23 when its fulltime season—open seven days a week—commence. The Boardwalk—Hersheypark’s waterpark—opens for the season on Saturday, May 25.

Opening in the summer of 2020, the park’s Chocolatetown, comprising 23 acres, will provide a new entertainment area where guests can eat, play, shop and gather.  Hersheypark will remain fully operational this summer during the expansion.
