Hershey Medical Center appoints new HR exec

David Swift, a native of Cumberland County, is returning to the midstate from a post in Baltimore to work in Derry Township, Dauphin County.
Swift will serve as chief human resources officer for Hershey Medical Center and associate vice president for human resources for health affairs at the college of medicine. He is scheduled to start Oct. 3.
For the last three years, Swift has been the chief human resources officer and senior vice president at he University of Maryland Medical System in Baltimore.
A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Swift has a bachelor of science in business and management from the University of Maryland University College and a master of science in health care administration from Minnesota-based Capella University.
