Edward J. Kelly III resigned from The Hershey Co.‘s board of directors.
Kelly resigned Friday due to increased demands of a recent job change, said Kirk Saville, a Hershey spokesman. Kelly has been a director since Nov. 11.
On Jan. 29, Kelly was named president of Citi Alternative Investments, a division of New York-based Citigroup Inc. Prior to that he was managing director of The Carlyle Group, a Washington, D.C.-based private-equity firm.
Saville said he did not have information on Kelly’s replacement, nor a timeframe for Hershey to name one.
Hershey, based in Derry Township, Dauphin County, is a manufacturer of chocolate and other confectionery products.
