The top financial officer at The Hershey Co. is planning to retire next year.

The Derry Township-based candy and snack giant said today that CFO and senior vice president Patricia Little intends to retire in spring 2019.

Little joined the company as CFO in early 2015. She arrived at Hershey with more than 30 years of financial experience, including stints at Kelly Services Inc., an employment agency and recruitment company, and Ford Motor Co.

“After more than a decade as a CFO for two public companies, I am looking forward to a more relaxed lifestyle,” Little said in a statement. “Hershey is a wonderful company with a great future ahead of it.”

Hershey officials said a search has commenced for a successor.

Last month, the company reported second-quarter net income of $226.9 million, or $1.08 per share, up from $203.5 million, or 89 cents per share, for the same period last year.

Hershey shares are traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol HSY.
