Lancaster County-based Herley Industries Inc. reported lower sales but higher profits for the third quarter ended April 29.
The company reported quarterly sales of $44.4 million, down from $45.7 million for the same period last year. Third-quarter net income rose from $1.7 million in 2006 to $3.9 million this year.
Herley, which is headquartered in Manheim Township, develops and makes microwave-technology components used by the defense, aerospace and medical industries.
