A veteran of the health care management field has been named CEO of HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Mechanicsburg.
Josette Myers will assume the position on Sept. 25.
Her responsibilities will include oversight of day-to-day operations as well as patient quality and care at the inpatient rehabilitation hospital on Lancaster Boulevard.
“Josette demonstrates the compassion for our patients, the commitment to excellent results and the high level of integrity needed for this role,” said Abe Sims, vice president of HealthSouth’s northeast region.
Based in Birmingham, Ala., HealthSouth provides post-acute healthcare services in 36 states and Puerto Rico through a network of inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, home health agencies, and hospice agencies.
In addition to its 75-bed Mechanicsburg location, the company has a range of sites across Pennsylvania, including HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of York and facilities in Lewisburg, Selinsgrove, Danville and Reading.
Myers spent the past four years as area director of marketing for HealthSouth Mechanicsburg and HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of York.
She has more than 20 years of experience in healthcare management roles overall, the company said.
Myers holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Penn State University and a master’s degree from Temple University.
