Kirk E. Rothrock is the new president and chief executive officer of HealthAmerica, a health insurer with offices in Dauphin County. Rothrock will assume his duties Feb. 25, according to a HealthAmerica statement.
Rothrock has 21 years of experience in health care and employee benefits, including sales, management, provider contracting and administration. Prior to joining HealthAmerica, Rothrock was chairman, president and CEO of CompBenefits, an Atlanta-based company offering dental and vision products.
HealthAmerica has corporate offices in Pittsburgh and Swatara Township, and employs more than 2,200 people statewide. It has more than 670,000 members in Pennsylvania and Ohio.
HealthAmerica is part of Coventry Health Care Inc., which is based in Bethesda, Md.
