Harsco donates $75K to China earthquake relief

Cumberland County-based Harsco Corp. donated $75,000 to aid
relief efforts in China
following the country’s deadly earthquake.

Cumberland County-based Harsco Corp. donated $75,000 to aid
relief efforts in China
following the country’s deadly earthquake.

Harsco’s operations were not affected by the May 12
earthquake and succeeding aftershocks, according to the company.

The earthquake, which registered a 7.9 magnitude, killed more
than 40,000 people in south-central China’s
Sichuan and
neighboring provinces, according to CNN.com.

Harsco made the donation to the Red Cross Society of China through
its Bejing office.

Harsco,
based in Wormleysburg, provides
services and products to businesses, including those in the non-residential
construction, steel and metals, energy and railway sectors.
