Harrisburg University will grow into an additional 2,020 square feet of space in Strawberry Square as work continues on its $73 million future home at the corner of North Fourth and Market streets in downtown Harrisburg.

Construction will start Friday on the newly-leased space. The space will accommodate two more classrooms and an office for corporate faculty, according to HU. Classes will begin in the new space in January, said Steve Infanti, associate vice president for marketing and communications at HU.

In July, HU leased 20,000 square feet in Strawberry Square and an additional 10,000 square feet in the Harrisburg Transportation Center. Harrisburg University will move into its 16-story facility in the winter of 2008, Infanti said.
