On the heels of Linda Goldstein’s retirement in June, the leadership team has been in a state of transition. Goldstein, who recently accepted a part-time position at Mid Penn Bank, had been CREDC’s vice president and COO since 2001.
Bucek, who was serving as vice president of chamber operations, is now vice president and No. 2 to David Black, president and CEO, for both the chamber and CREDC.
Melissa Stone, who was director of business finance, is now vice president of economic development for CREDC.
“I’m spending more time on the economic development side, so we’ve moved some other responsibilities around to get more help on the overall organizational side,” Black said of the staff changes. “It’s a slightly different structure than when Linda was here.”
Paul Van Winkle, a recent Messiah College graduate, also was hired as a finance specialist.
“This is more operationally and functionally efficient,” Black said.
