As CEO, Courtney is responsible for providing the strategic, financial, marketing, and operational leadership for the company.  Since GDC is a privately owned entity, senior leadership acts as the company’s board of directors; providing analysis and recommendations to develop a consensus on the direction that is best for the company.  Once consensus a reached, Courtney ensures the company remains focused on success by providing senior leadership all the resources needed to perform and remain accountable for implementation of goals and key objectives.

He founded the company in 1995.

His most rewarding professional accomplishment has been starting a company that has attracted highly skilled employees and a first-rate leadership team.  GDC started in 1995 as a single person entity with one account.  Today, GDC is competing on a global scale and provides many employees with meaningful careers.  “We maintain four brick and mortar offices in three states, we have over 1000 customers across all our business segments, and we maintain an average employee count of around 250 full-time employees, who are performing complex IT work for large and small companies across the world.  My partners and I could have not achieved that level of growth without our highly skilled and dedicated workforce and a professional and competent leadership team that has proven themselves to be adept at navigating complex business challenges in a competitive business landscape,” Courtney said.

Perseverance is his most important life lesson.  “It is an easy thing to say, but not so easy to do when uncertainty and doubt surrounds an organization and everyone begins to waiver.  I believe it has been the greatest asset to starting and growing a business.  That lesson was one I learned serving in the United States Marine Corps,” he said.

“Business consumes so much of my life, spending time away on the water with family and friends is my first choice for fun.  The constant movement of water relaxes me.  Boating, swimming or just hanging around the water’s edge, I find that to be the most enjoyable,” Courtney said.
