President and CEO of Quandel Construction, Gregory Quandel said he focuses on six areas: developing and implementing a strategic plan for the company; overseeing its financial performance; overseeing the company’s day-to-day operations; recruiting, developing and retaining a talented workforce; identifying and managing risks and developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies; building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; and continuous improvement.
In 2022, “the COVID-19 pandemic led to widespread disruptions in the global supply chain, causing shortages of materials, supplies and labor, and delaying deliveries that caused projects to be put on hold/delayed,” Quandel said. “The supply chain disruptions and labor shortages led to cost increases for construction projects. Overcoming these issues was managed through increased communications with stakeholders and developing ongoing execution and pivot strategies to manage these issues.”
