Greenawalt Roofing Company is planning to construct a new corporate headquarters near the current West Hempfield Township office it leases.
The company, currently headquartered at 1200 Corporate Blvd., may be making the move to 3530 Marietta Ave. as early as the end of the year.
Greenawalt bought the land – which used to be a junkyard – at an undisclosed price.
“It’s not too pretty at the moment,” said Lauren Bollinger, a company spokeswoman.
The new location will be bigger, Bollinger said, adding that the company will have its administrative offices, warehouse and showroom all in the same building.
Construction is not yet underway as the company is still waiting to get the go-ahead from the township, Bollinger said. The company anticipates breaking ground on the project by the end of summer. The cost of the project was not disclosed.
More changes are underway at the company.
It’s upping its marketing game.
The company said it will soon be sending its sales team into the York, Mechanicsburg, Harrisburg, Reading and Lebanon markets, according to Bollinger.
“In the past month we have increased our advertising efforts in these markets through billboards, direct mailers, etc.,” Bollinger said.
