The West Shore Plaza in Lemoyne will soon have a new anchor tenant: Goodwill Industries International Inc.
Goodwill has signed a lease with Camp Hill-based Smith Land & Improvement Corp., owner of the retail complex, for 20,000 square feet in the former Karns space on the corner of the plaza.
“They plan to put in a retail store and a drop-off area,” said Rick Jordan II, CEO of Smith Land.
Goodwill has targeted December for opening the new location.
The Goodwill lease leaves open 8,000 square feet of space formerly occupied by Karns, Jordan said. The rest of the 221,000-square-foot retail plaza is occupied.
In late 2013, Smith Land bought a former Capital BlueCross office building on State Street, and Karns moved its grocery store there.
The move more than doubled the regional grocery chain’s footprint in Lemoyne.
