Glatfelter officials to ring NYSE closing bell Monday

York County paper manufacturer Glatfelter will ring the closing bell Monday on the New York Stock Exchange.

Members of the company’s senior executive team and board of directors will be in New York City to ring the bell, according to a company news release.
The event is to help celebrate Glatfelter’s 150th anniversary, transforming from a paper company founded in 1864 to a worldwide enterprise producing specialty paper and fiber-based engineered materials.
“The ongoing evolution of our product portfolio and thoughtful execution of our strategy continue to deliver increased value as we build a stronger, more global company,” Dante C. Parrini, chairman and CEO, said in the news release. “By innovating and adapting to the changing marketplace, we are able to successfully compete in a more dynamic world economy that benefits not only our shareholders but all stakeholders.”
Glatfelter’s corporate headquarters are in York and it has a production facility in Spring Grove, along with other domestic and international facilities. It trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol GLT.
Executives of another York County company, Codorus Valley Bancorp Inc., rang the closing bell on the Nasdaq Feb. 11 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of PeoplesBank. Codorus Valley is the parent company of PeoplesBank.
