Rob Ghormoz, vice president at GSL Public Affairs, has been named a senior advisor to Pennsylvania Governor-Elect Josh Shapiro’s Transition Team.
Ghormoz will assist the team’s executive director in organizing and continuing to build the structure of the transition. He will also assist the Governor-Elect and Transition Team in evaluating candidates for cabinet and senior staff positions.
In addition to working with the Transition Team, Ghormoz will assist the Governor-Elect and incoming Chief of Staff in their building of a legislative engagement strategy and preparing their initial budget proposal.
Ghormoz served as co-executive director of Gov. Tom Wolf’s inauguration in 2019 and was a senior advisor to the governor. He was a primary political advisor and oversaw all aspects of economic development for the Wolf Administration.
Ghormoz coordinated economic development-related grant programs in partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development. He also coordinated all aspects of the Wolf Administration’s federal government relations efforts to advance the Governor’s agenda in Washington, D.C.
