George Nahodil
President and CEO
Members 1st Federal Credit Union
He has served as president and CEO of the credit union for five years.
“One of the most important lessons I have learned is that simply being kind and empathetic can help you achieve success in life. At Members 1st, we emphasize the importance of being kind through servant leadership. Successful leaders are servants first, prioritizing the needs of those around them by making them feel valued and important,” Nahodil said.
He began his career in finance over 30 years ago as comptroller for the city of Mount Vernon, NY. From there, he taught high school while pursuing a master’s degree at the University of Connecticut. After relocating back to Pennsylvania, he represented a TransUnion affiliate as the vice president of sales & marketing for approximately 10 years. He then transitioned to Members 1st, where he served as the executive vice president of retail delivery, public relations & marketing for 17 years before becoming president and CEO in 2017.
“More than anything, I love spending time with my family and friends, but I also place importance on supporting my local community through various charities and causes,” Nahodil said. Additionally he likes to travel, explore new places, hike, and visit the lake, where he enjoys swimming, boating and waterskiing. “During football season, you can find me in front of my TV rooting for the best NFL team…the Philadelphia Eagles,” he said.
