York advertising and public relations agency Gavin has bought TFM Advertising of the Harrisburg area and named Tom Hollerbach, TFM’s president, as Gavin’s president.

Mandy Arnold, Gavin’s founder and recently its president, has been named CEO, the firm said in a news release Monday.

The acquisition “expands Gavin’s services to include virtual reality, large-scale video production and national brand marketing and strategy,” and also gives it an office in Harrisburg along with York, the firm said.

Financial terms were not disclosed. TFM, based in Swatara Township, had been part of WITF Enterprises, which also owns WITF-TV, Central Pennsylvania’s public broadcasting station, and WITF-FM 89.5.

In her new role as Gavin’s CEO, Arnold plans to focus “on the agency’s vision for the future while overseeing public relations, crisis communications and brand strategy,” the announcement said.

Arnold said in the announcement that “our vision for the agency is to put York on the creative map, while showing that Main Street can give Madison Avenue a run for its money.

“Our goal is to build a forward-thinking team capable of delivering advanced solutions for the changing world of communications,” she continued.

New president Hollerbach has leadership in guiding various marketing communications companies over the past 20 years, the Gavin news release noted.

He was president and CEO of BBDO West and led Texas-based Blackboard Co. to become one of the country’s fastest-growing boutique agencies, Gavin officials said.

“This collaboration of our teams benefits our current and prospective clients with new service offerings, truly positioning Gavin as a full-service agency. We believe this combining of agency power positions Gavin for a continued growth trajectory,” Hollerbach added.
