Erb has served as president for 16 years.
He has several responsibilities including putting an experienced staff in place that will provide the company’s valued customers with the best product and best service available in the structural steel and miscellaneous metals industry. He also follows through with this commitment on each and every project to ensure complete customer satisfaction. “We’re not perfect, but rest assured we will always give our customers 100% effort,” he says.
Erb says manpower shortages have been a struggle for the past few years, and 2022 was no different. Ira G. Steffy & Son has implemented various types of bonuses to help retain valued employees while also attracting others that may be seeking new employment opportunities. “Last year was also a challenge dealing with all types of delays beyond our control. Identifying these delays and dealing with the repercussions of each delay was essential to managing the voids and overloads created by each delay incurred,” Erb says.
