Ira G. Steffy has been providing dependable, quality steel fabrication and erection since 1976. The Ephrata-based company originally offered general repair and industrial welding but has expanded to provide structural steel and miscellaneous metals for projects of all sizes including schools, hospitals, office buildings, retail stores and warehouses.
As president, Erb’s primary duties are to provide Ira. G. Steffy customers with quality service and a quality product on every project. The company is also committed to providing its employees with steady work with competitive wages and “the best benefit package in our industry.”.
Erb has been with the company for 24 years, the last 10 as president. He’s proud of maintaining a high level of integrity in an industry where that can be very challenging.
“Put God first in all you do and everything else will take care of itself” is the most important life lesson he’s learned.
His favorite pastime is hunting mature whitetail buck. “Most of the time they outsmart me, but every now and then I get lucky,” Erb said.
