After buying the assets of Gander Mountain out of bankruptcy court last year, a CNBC host and investor is rolling out his new Gander Outdoors retail concept in York County.
Marcus Lemonis, host of the investment competition television show “The Profit” on CNBC and chairman of Camping World Holdings, announced Tuesday that a grand opening event will be held Saturday for the new Gander Outdoors in West Manchester Township.
The new outdoor retail chain, which is owned by publicly traded Camping World, has opened in the former Gander Mountain location at 725 Town Center Drive. Gander Mountain filed for bankruptcy in spring 2017.
The 31,080-square-foot store in York County is one of six planned locations for Gander Outdoors in Pennsylvania. The other five are in Chambersburg, Dickson City, Greensburg, Johnstown and Muncy.
“We’ve received such positive feedback from all the communities across the country in which we opened our new Gander Outdoors locations,” Lemonis said in a statement. “We are so thankful for the customers shopping with us for their outdoor and sporting needs, and we are excited to continue expanding our outdoor industry footprint, while supporting economic growth in all these communities.”
The grand opening event in York County on Saturday will kick off at 9 a.m. The new store will be open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
