The Foundation For Enhancing Communities is seeking nominations for the newly renamed Karen Snider Women in Philanthropy Award.
The annual award honors women who go above and beyond to support local causes. Snider, who received the Women in Philanthropy award in 2011, died earlier this year.
“Karen embodied the criteria of this award – she dedicated her life to improving the lives of others, gave freely and selflessly of her time and resources, and was an inspiration to all who knew her,” the foundation said in a news release. “She will be greatly missed by the Women’s Fund, the community-at-large, and by those who knew her. Our community was a better place because of her.”
Nominations for this year’s award are due Sept 1. Further information is available at www.tfec.org/wfpop/wipaward.
