The Magnolia Mom is pairing up with the midstate’s own York Wallcoverings for a new line of wallpaper, set to launch in 2017.
A March 25 post on the company’s Facebook page said Texas-based entrepreneur and television star Joanna Gaines visited York Wallcoverings the previous day “to begin work on the new wallpaper collection for Magnolia Home.”
“We had an inspirational meeting with Joanna Gaines and her Creative Director, Emily Paben, last Thursday to begin work on the wallpaper collection for Magnolia Home. They spent the day touring the facility including York’s archives, design studio and manufacturing plant,” marketing director Meg Pitner said.
Gaines isn’t just the co-star, with husband Chip, of hit HGTV home renovation show Fixer Upper. She is the walking personification of a hot American brand. In addition to being television stars, the Joanna and Chip Gaines own design retailer Magnolia Market. Their names make instant headlines and set trends for design intuition and creative expertise.
“York’s design team in collaboration with Joanna and Emily pulled together multiple design concepts for the wallpaper line set to launch in early 2017,” Pitner said.
So the Gaines’ power and the respect the couple commands within the design world would seem to be a boon for York.
Pitner said more information about the project will be released next week.
