The Tennessee-based freight delivery company recently expanded its Dauphin County facility by 12.5 acres. The plan is to add 89 dock doors, bringing the total at the facility to 244, Hunter said.
The township last year approved the company’s land-development plan.
The site at 2030 N. Union St. employs more than 250 people. Additional jobs will be determined by business levels, Hunter said.
FedEx would not disclose the cost to expand the facility. Dauphin County court records show that FedEx acquired the site in 2006 for $8.44 million from Watkins Terminals Inc.
FedEx trades shares of its stock on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol FDX.
