Farm Show nabs awards

The Pennsylvania Farm Show recently received three awards at the annual conference of the International Association of Fairs and Expositions.

The Pennsylvania Farm Show recently received three awards at the annual conference of the International Association of Fairs and Expositions.

The conference took place at the end of November in Las Vegas.

The Farm Show received first place in the Overall Program for Commercial Agricultural Exhibitors category for a breakfast honoring nearly 300 commercial exhibitors. It also won first place in the Farm and Sponsor/Partner Joint Exhibit Program category for its partnership with Lancaster County-based Turkey Hill Dairies. Turkey Hill works with the Farm Show to create learning stations to teach visitors about agriculture. Lastly, the Farm Show took first place in the Competitive Exhibits Judging with Fair Guests in Attendance category for its technology-exhibit displays, which focused on advancements made possible by agriculture.

The Farm Show will run Jan. 5 to 12 at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center in Dauphin County. More than 400,000 people are expected to visit the show to see nearly 8,000 animals, 10,000 competitive exhibits and 270 commercial exhibitors.
