9:05 a.m.: Employment Law Update and Forecast

Speaker: Catherine E. Walters, Esq., Partner, Bybel Rutledge

A romp through the few US Supreme Court cases decided in the 2019-2020 term that will impact employers (eg., Bostock and the determination that “sex” includes sexual orientation and gender identity for purposes of Title VII discrimination prohibitions); a discussion of Department of Labor regulatory changes during 2020; and some focused topics within the update, for example, upcoming/trending bills relating to FMLA, wage/hour, ADA, etc.

10:20 a.m.: How many employees fully understand their 401(k)?

Speaker: Steven P. Maher, CPFA, Partner and Senior Wealth Advisor, Domani Wealth

How many employees fully understand their 401(k)? Their educational level today can have an enormous impact on how prepared they are for retirement in the future. But not every employee can be educated in the same way – not every bit of information applies to every generation of your staff members. And in today’s different working remotely or working staggered shifts, it’s more challenging than ever to communicate and educate employees.

11:25 a.m.: Best Companies Session

Moderator: Peter B. Burke, President, Best Companies Group

Learn about data trends for this year’s Best Companies to work for in PA. Hear from a panel of winners discussing what helped them become a best company, and HR practices during COVID-19.

12:15 p.m.: Closing remarks, program concludes
