Join the Friends of Pine Grove Furnace State Park and park staff to start the new year off right with a hike in the park.

The route will be mostly flat/accessible paved or gravel paths, including the Hiker-Biker/A.T., a new connector trail from the furnace area to the campgrounds, and roads in the family campground area. Optional portions of the route will include the Creek Trail circling the campground, and the Brickyard Trail, with tripping hazards and uneven terrain. The total length, including the two unpaved trails, is approximately 2.5 miles.

The Friends group will serve cookies, mulled cider, hot chocolate, and coffee.

Meet at the Fuller Lake Boathouse, 1050 Pine Grove Rd., Gardners 17324.

Please dress for the weather, bring water, and wear sturdy shoes.
