Butterfly Day 2022

Ashcombe’s annual Butterfly Day is back on Saturday, August 6!

Order a butterfly to release at home or here during our butterfly release in the butterfly garden at 12 pm. Click here to order. The deadline to order is July 31. The cost is $10.

Join in one of three Fairy Garden Workshops, where you’ll create the perfect fairy world in a container. The cost is $25 per person and includes a container, soil, stones, plants, and a fairy. Workshops are at 10:30 am, 1 pm, and 2 pm and are limited to 15 people each. Register here to secure your spot.

Join us for a free walking tour of our Butterfly Gardens at 11 am.

Heather Andrews will be here from the Penn State Extension to talk about

native pollinators and plants. Join Heather at 10 am for her free informative talk in our Courtyard.

Creatures Great and Small, our favorite mobile petting zoo, will be here from 10 am-12 pm with critters of all shapes and sizes for some free, hands-on fun.

Children can enjoy free butterfly crafts throughout the event.

The Country Cafe will be open, serving lunch and ice cream!
