Eric Darr
President
Harrisburg University of Science and Technology
Darr has served as the university’s president for 11 years.
In his role as president, he provides leadership and strategic direction for the university and collaborates with its board of trustees to successfully build and grow it. He oversees the operations and academic functions of the university and leads advancement and fund-raising activities. Darr also serve as the university’s “face and voice” to external community groups, the media, academic partners, government agencies, financial creditors and supporters.
Darr says the challenges created by the global pandemic continued to be problematic in 2022. Student enrollment, workforce continuity, uncertainty in the business environment, and depressed global mobility were particular areas of concern in 2022. “We continued to make good progress in 2022, as I worked with our board of trustees and university leadership to maintain focus on strategic priorities, while continuing to be student focused across all functions of the university,” he says.
