Mid Penn Bancorp Inc., the Millersburg-based parent company of Mid Penn Bank, reported second-quarter net income of $1.18 million, down from $1.12 million in the year-earlier period.

Earnings increased on a per-share basis, from 32 cents in the second quarter of 2006 to 34 cents in the second quarter of 2007, according to Mid Penn Bancorp.
Mid Penn Bancorp also declared a quarterly cash dividend of 20 cents per share, payable Aug. 27 to shareholders of record Aug. 8. The Dauphin County company trades publicly under the ticker symbol MBP.
There are 14 Mid Penn Bank branches in Cumberland, Dauphin, Northumberland and Schuylkill counties.
