Associated Builders and Contractors Inc. Keystone Chapter, a Lancaster County-based trade organization for the construction industry, today announced it’s offering a self-evaluation diversity program to its members.
The purpose of the tool is to allow a company to evaluate its diversity and related programs to improve workplace inclusion, said Alan Arment, ABC’s director of education and training.
ABC’s board of directors approved use of the Assessment of Diversity Activities, Practices, and Training (ADPAT) survey in September. It was a suggested program from ABC’s diversity committee.
The committee, comprised of representatives from member companies, is working to identify other resources, such as locater services for contractors to find minority- and women-owned businesses. The committee also is helping those companies increase their exposure.
