Tomorrow local dignitaries and Harrisburg University of
Science and Technology officials will help dedicate the university’s $73
million 16-story academic center in downtown Harrisburg.
The ceremony starts at 4:30 p.m. on the 11th floor of the center at Fourth and Market streets.
Dignitaries scheduled to participate will include Harrisburg
Mayor Stephen R. Reed, state Rep. Ronald Buxton (D-Dauphin
County), Sen. Jeffrey E. Piccola (R-Dauphin and York
counties), State Secretary Pedro A. Cortés and Dauphin County Commissioner
Dominic “Nick” DiFrancesco II.
Richard T. Reynolds, president of Harrisburg’s Reynolds Construction Management
Inc., and John E. Kosar, president and chairman emeritus of architectural firm
Burt, Hill, also will attend. Reynolds
Construction Management oversaw construction of the building. Burt, Hill‘s Butler County
office designed the 371,000-square-foot structure.
The university expects about 700 community members to
attend, along with business executives and higher education representatives.
