Destiny Dairy Bar at Stover Farms, a new retail market at 60 Horner Road, Middlesex Township, will celebrate its opening with a ribbon cutting and grand opening Saturday.
The on-farm dairy bar sells fresh, locally produced whole cream, pasteurized and nonhomogenized milk.
All the milk is PA Preferred; popular flavors include chocolate; cookies and cream; coffee; salted caramel; orange cream; raspberry; peach; chocolate mint; root beer; and Milky Way. Three to four flavors rotate weekly.
The Cumberland County market will soon offer ice cream, too.
“We take great pride in the milk produced by our cows and are excited to share these fresh-from-our-farm dairy treats with our neighbors and visitors to Carlisle,” Destiny Dairy Bar owner and dairy farmer Amy Brickner said in a release.
“We are a fourth-generation dairy farm operating since 1958 and each one of our products is made with care and love for our cows and a commitment to nutrition and environmental sustainability. We welcome everyone to join us and help support our world-class Pennsylvania dairy industry and our local dairy farm.”
The state’s dairy princess, Mikayla Davis, will be on hand for the event, along with other industry celebrities.
The program starts at 11 a.m. Activities for families, which run from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., include butter making, train rides, corn hole, cow patty bingo, free milk samples, farm tours, a petting zoo and selfie stations.
