Bravo Group represents clients from all business and non-profit sectors. Walsh works primarily with clients from a variety of industries including healthcare/life sciences, energy and education. He has served a Bravo Group president for 18 years.
Some recent company successes include work on behalf of Citizens Against Nuclear Bailouts, which blocked legislation providing a ratepayer financed subsidy to profitable nuclear plants. Walsh said other successes are the continued expansion of the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program, enactment of Marcy’s Law, a constitutional amendment providing rights to victims of violent crimes, and enactment of a law to ensure fair competition between peer to peer car rental platforms and traditional car rental companies.
Walsh started his career in lobbying by working for a member of the Pennsylvania State Senate. “This afforded me the opportunity to develop relationships and an understanding of the legislative process, which became a marketable skill set in the private sector. I left the Senate to lobby for various business interests before being appointed Secretary of Legislative Affairs in the cabinet of Governor Tom Ridge. I eventually moved back to the private sector and restarted my lobbying career,” he said.
