PCN is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit television network dedicated to providing unedited coverage of politics and policy, unique accounts of history and culture, and high school sports including PIAA championships. The network is committed to providing balanced coverage in an unbiased, nonpartisan forum. In order to continue its mission and provide citizens with this specialized content, PCN President and CEO Debra Kohr Sheppard is focusing efforts on development and the rebranding of PCN as a nonprofit to combat declining revenue.

Historically funded by cable systems, PCN has seen its revenue fall rapidly as technology and viewer habits evolve. “In order to continue to provide this vital service, PCN must rely on corporate donations and contributions from private citizens to provide a significant part of its operating funds,” Sheppard said. “Campaigns for individual donations were initiated and we re-aligned how we partner with organizations. We rebranded PCN as a nonprofit. This is an ongoing challenge, but we made great strides in 2022.”
