Elected a partner in 2013, David Freedman has been with Barley Snyder since 2008. He chairs the firm’s Education Law Group, hosts the Barley Snyder Legal Update Podcast and serves as president of the Lancaster County Bar Association.
His practice focuses on employment litigation defense, higher education law, civil rights litigation and business immigration.
He said he is “particularly proud of my pro bono representation of immigrant victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. These clients have gone through harrowing experiences. … It is my pleasure and honor to represent them.”
For enjoyment, Freedman reads fiction and nonfiction, especially history and law. In addition, “I am an avid follower of my kids’ sports endeavors, as well as Philadelphia sports teams,” he said. “I love watching movies, and I devote an abnormal amount of time listening to Phish.”
