Dana VP named President and CEO of Graham Packaging

Graham Packaging, a custom plastic bottle manufacturer headquartered in Lancaster, named as president and CEO.

Pyle, who joined the company Aug. 2, is responsible for guiding the business “in its ongoing mission of profitable growth and creating sustainable packaging solutions,” according to a release.

He replaces interim CEO Doug Owenby, who will return to his job as chief operating officer. Owenby had been filling in after the departure of previous CEO Michael King, now CEO of Pactiv Evergreen, a sister company.

Starting his career at ., Pyle has held a number of leadership positions in the auto industry. Most recently, he was executive vice president of Dana Inc. and president of Light Vehicle Drive Systems, Dana’s largest business.

“Graham Packaging is a well-known, established global company with a strong sustainability focus, an impressive list of blue-chip customers and exciting, high-volume operations,” Pyle said in the release.

“The packaging industry has many parallels to the automotive industry, where meeting customers’ evolving needs and ensuring that products meet the increasing demands of today’s consumers are critical for success.”
