He was named president and CEO of the bank in January 2020.
Howie embraces a servant leadership style that focuses on compassion and empathy. He said the bank’s management team empowers staff to problem solve and serve clients by removing obstacles to success and providing the support and resources to make it happen. “This has led to a high touch customer service approach and people looking for ways to improve the client experience or create efficiency internally,” Howie said.
After graduate school at Drexel University, he started in secondary marketing at GMAC Mortgage Corporation, now Ally Bank, in Elkins Park, PA. From there, Howie went into banking at Chemical Bank in New York, which is now part of JP Morgan Chase.
He enjoys spending time with his wife, children, their spouses and grandkids.
